Samuel Nlend a football player from Cameroon transferred from Union Douala to the Egyptian club AL-ITTIHAD Alexandria last month August 2016 on a 3 year contract. Just 5 days after his arrival in Egypt he was thrown out of the club because of a supposedly positive HIV test.
The sports director of AL-ITTIHAD Mr. Assem Cika said "Nlend is a great player with great skills. But the results of the medical checks have forced us to cancel the contract again.
The club management argue that the Cameroon international player tested positive during medical check for HIV. According to the Egyptian sports portal "King Fut" the club even published the diagnosis on their website.
But the 21-year-old striker is confident that he is healthy and defends himself against the allegations and claims AL-ITTIHAD faked the result of the HIV test in order to save money and has filed a complaint with FIFA against the Egyptian club.
Meanwhile Nlend is playing for his old club Union Douala and has the full backing of his old club president Franck Happi who said "AL-ITTIHAD faked the HIV test so they can terminate the contract unilaterally and avoid paying the demanded transfer fees.
